Every Basin Craft piece is handcrafted in our atelier in Denizli, Turkey and shipped directly to your door in the United States. Because we work with natural stone and heavy, fragile materials, our shipping process is designed to protect your purchase at every step — from our workshop to your home.
This policy explains how we ship, what to expect, and your responsibilities as the recipient.
1. Where We Ship
We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states, including Alaska and Hawaii. We do not ship to U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or P.O. boxes — all deliveries require a physical street address.
2. Order Processing
After you place your order, our team:
- Reviews your order and verifies payment within 2–3 business days
- Begins production of your piece in our atelier
- Sends you an order confirmation by email, followed by a shipping notification with tracking information once your piece is dispatched
3. Production Lead Time
Because our items are handcrafted to order, please allow time for production before shipment. Typical lead times are:
- Mosaic artwork and tiles — approximately 14 business days
- Marble sinks (vessel and standard sizes) — approximately 14–21 business days
- Bathtubs and large or custom pieces — approximately 21 business days, sometimes longer for highly customized orders
The lead time for each specific product is listed on its product page. We will notify you immediately if there is any unexpected delay in production.
4. Shipping Methods
Each product is shipped using the method most appropriate to its size, weight, and value. The shipping method for your order is listed on the product page and confirmed at checkout.
Curbside Delivery — For smaller and lighter items such as mosaic tiles and compact sinks. The carrier delivers your package to the curb or front door. No appointment is typically required.
Standard Freight Delivery — For heavier marble sinks and medium-weight pieces. The carrier will contact you in advance to schedule a delivery appointment. Delivery is made to your driveway or curb; you are responsible for moving the item inside.
White-Glove Freight Delivery — For bathtubs, large sinks, and one-of-a-kind sculptural pieces. This premium service includes:
- Scheduled appointment delivery
- Two-person team for safe handling
- Delivery into the room of your choice on the ground floor
- Removal of all packaging materials
White-glove delivery does not include installation, plumbing connections, or carrying items up multiple flights of stairs unless explicitly arranged in advance.
5. Estimated Delivery Timeline
Once your piece leaves our atelier, total transit time to the United States is typically:
- Air freight (smaller items) — 5–10 business days
- Ocean freight (heavier items such as bathtubs) — 4–6 weeks, including customs clearance and inland transport
Combined with production, the typical end-to-end timeline from order to delivery is:
- Mosaics and smaller items: approximately 3–5 weeks
- Sinks: approximately 4–6 weeks
- Bathtubs and large freight items: approximately 6–10 weeks
These are estimates, not guarantees. Delays caused by customs, carriers, weather, or other factors outside our control may occasionally extend these timelines.
6. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on your destination. A nominal handling fee may apply to orders shipped to addresses within the contiguous 48 states, with a slightly higher rate for Alaska and Hawaii due to additional logistics.
For most products, the cost of international freight from Turkey is already included in the product price. There are no surprise shipping charges after checkout.
7. Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes
All Basin Craft items are imported from Turkey. Depending on the order value and current U.S. import regulations, your shipment may be subject to:
- U.S. import duties
- Customs processing fees
- State and local sales tax
For most of our orders, we handle customs clearance and any applicable import duties on your behalf — meaning your delivery arrives with no additional charges at the door. If any duties or fees are payable upon delivery for your specific order, we will inform you in advance and confirm before shipping.

8. Insurance
Every Basin Craft shipment is fully insured from the moment it leaves our atelier until it is delivered to your address. If your item arrives damaged or is lost in transit, you are protected and we will resolve the issue promptly. See Section 11 below for what to do if your item arrives damaged.
9. Tracking
Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number by email. For freight and white-glove shipments, the carrier will also contact you directly to coordinate delivery.
Please keep an eye on your email (including spam/junk folders) and respond promptly to scheduling requests from the carrier. Failure to respond may delay your delivery and, in some cases, result in additional storage or redelivery fees from the carrier.
10. Your Responsibilities as the Recipient
To ensure a smooth delivery, please:
- Provide an accurate shipping address at checkout, including unit/apartment numbers. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.
- Be available at the scheduled delivery time, or arrange for someone of legal age to receive the shipment on your behalf. Missed delivery appointments may result in redelivery fees charged by the carrier.
- Measure your entryways and access routes in advance to confirm that the item can be safely brought into your space. We are not responsible for items that cannot fit through doorways, hallways, or stairwells.
- Inspect the shipment carefully at the time of delivery (see Section 11).
11. Inspecting Your Delivery and Reporting Damage
Although we pack and crate every piece with extreme care, freight shipments do occasionally arrive damaged. Please inspect your shipment thoroughly before signing the delivery receipt:
- Look at the outer crate or packaging for any visible damage, dents, or holes.
- If possible, open the packaging while the delivery driver is present and inspect the item itself.
- If you see any damage — even to the packaging — note it on the delivery receipt before signing. Take photographs immediately.
- Contact us at help@basincraft.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, photos of the damage, and a brief description.

12. Address Changes
If you need to change the shipping address on your order, contact us as soon as possible at help@basincraft.com. We can update the address before the item ships from our atelier without charge. After the item has shipped, address changes may not be possible, or may incur additional fees charged by the carrier.
13. Refused Shipments
If a shipment is refused at delivery for reasons other than damage (such as buyer's remorse, change of mind, or failure to be available after multiple delivery attempts), the order will be treated as a return under our Refund Policy. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs and the standard restocking fee.
14. Lost Shipments
In the rare event that a shipment is lost in transit, please contact us at help@basincraft.com. Because all shipments are insured, we will investigate with the carrier and either send a replacement piece or issue a full refund at our discretion.
15. Force Majeure and Delays Beyond Our Control
While we do our best to meet stated delivery timelines, we cannot guarantee delivery dates and are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Customs inspections or delays
- Carrier delays or capacity issues
- Weather, natural disasters, or labor disputes
- Material shortages or supplier delays
- Government action or public health events
