Welcome to Basin Craft. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website (the "Site") and any purchases you make from us. By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

The Site and the Basin Craft brand are operated by Ashgray LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company doing business as "Basin Craft" ("Ashgray LLC," "we," "us," "our"). Ashgray LLC is the merchant of record for all sales. Our products are designed and handcrafted in our atelier in Türkiye and shipped to customers in the United States.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use this Site or place an order. By placing an order, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2. Products and Handcrafted Nature

All Basin Craft products are handcrafted from natural stone in our atelier in Türkiye. Because each piece is made by hand from natural materials, you acknowledge and accept the following:

  • Natural variation — color tones, veining patterns, surface texture, and stone markings will vary from piece to piece and from the photographs shown on our Site. These are inherent characteristics of natural stone, not defects.
  • Dimensional tolerances — handcrafted dimensions may vary slightly (typically up to ±5%) from the stated measurements.
  • One-of-a-kind items — pieces marked as "one-of-a-kind" are unique; the exact item you receive may differ visually from the listing photographs.

These variations are part of what makes each Basin Craft piece distinctive and are not grounds for return, refund, or replacement.

3. Made-to-Order and Custom Items

Most Basin Craft items are made-to-order after your purchase is confirmed. Typical lead times are stated on each product page and range from approximately 14 to 21 business days before shipment.

Custom orders — items with customized dimensions, finishes, materials, or design modifications — are produced specifically for you and are final sale. Custom orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded once production has begun. Please refer to our Refund Policy for details.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and are exclusive of applicable taxes, duties, and shipping charges, which will be calculated and shown at checkout.

We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors on the Site. If a pricing error is discovered after you place an order, we will contact you with the correct price and give you the option to confirm or cancel.

Payment is due in full at the time of order. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.

5. Order Acceptance and Refusal

Your submission of an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or refuse any order at our sole discretion, including but not limited to orders that appear fraudulent, contain pricing errors, or that we are unable to fulfill. If we refuse your order, we will refund any payment already received.

6. Shipping and Risk of Loss

Orders are shipped from our atelier in Türkiye to addresses within the United States. Detailed shipping terms, including white-glove delivery, lead times, and insurance coverage, are described on each product page and in our shipping information.

Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to your shipping address. However, all shipments include full transit insurance — if your item arrives damaged, please follow the damage reporting procedure in our Refund Policy.

You are responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, and fees imposed by U.S. authorities, unless we have expressly agreed to cover them at checkout. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs or for items refused at customs.

7. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Warranty

Ashgray LLC warrants its products against manufacturing defects for a period of two (2) years from the date of delivery, under normal residential or commercial use as intended. This warranty covers structural defects in the stone and craftsmanship.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Natural variation in color, veining, or texture (see Section 2)
  • Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by harsh or acidic cleaners
  • Failure to follow care instructions (such as periodic sealing)
  • Modifications made after delivery

To submit a warranty claim, contact help@basincraft.com with your order number and clear photographs of the issue.

9. Installation

Basin Craft products such as sinks, bathtubs, and other plumbing fixtures require professional installation by a licensed plumber or qualified contractor. Ashgray LLC is not responsible for any damage to the product, your property, or any other consequences arising from improper installation. Improper installation may also void the warranty in Section 8.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, photographs, product designs, logos, graphics, and other materials — is the property of Ashgray LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our prior written permission, except that you may make a personal, non-commercial copy of pages for the purpose of placing an order or evaluating our products.

11. User Content and Communications

If you submit reviews, photos, comments, or other content to us or through our Site (collectively "User Content"), you grant Ashgray LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and display that User Content in connection with our business, including for marketing purposes.

You represent that any User Content you submit is your own, does not violate any third party's rights, and is not unlawful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate.

12. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site or its security
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, accounts, or systems
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Site without our written permission
  • Engage in fraudulent activity, including chargeback fraud or false damage claims
  • Resell our products commercially without our prior written authorization

13. Disclaimers

The Site and all products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except for those expressly stated in these Terms or in Section 8 (Warranty). To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ashgray LLC disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Ashgray LLC's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to your purchase, the products, or your use of the Site shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
  • In no event shall Ashgray LLC be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of use, property damage beyond the product itself, business interruption, or damages arising from installation, removal, or repair of any product.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of these limitations may not apply to you. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ashgray LLC, its members, managers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the products, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

16. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, customs delays, carrier delays, shortages of materials, pandemic, or other force majeure events. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and resume performance as soon as practicable.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your purchase shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith direct communication. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, the parties agree to submit the dispute to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Hartford County, Connecticut, and each party waives any objection to venue in those courts.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your state or country of residence.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ashgray LLC regarding your use of the Site and your purchases.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
