Distressed Travertine Mosaic 1x1 is natural travertine — real quarried stone on a mesh sheet, not a printed or reconstituted tile. Chip format is 1x1. Chips sit on a straight grid, quiet enough to run the full height of a wall without fighting anything else in the room.

Surface and color. Chips are tumbled and edge-worn before setting, which knocks the corners back and gives a wall that looks like it has been there a while. The color range is beige and brown. Natural stone carries its own variation — that variation is the point, but it means you should buy the whole job at once.

The stone. Travertine is a sedimentary stone: the small voids across its face are natural and are part of why it reads warm rather than clinical. Each sheet is set by hand rather than machine-laid, so the joint stays even where a mechanical setter would drift.

Where it works. In American homes this sheet usually goes behind a range as a kitchen backsplash, around a tub or shower, or across a powder-room wall. For floor use, check the finish against the traffic the room actually takes.

Setting it. Seal after installation with a breathable impregnating sealer, and again every couple of years in a wet area. Set it on a flat, primed substrate with a white polymer-modified thin-set; gray adhesive can shadow through a light stone.

What the photographs show. The photographs show the sheet two ways. One frame is shot flat so you can read chip size, joint width and how the color is distributed. The rest show it installed at room scale, which is the only reliable way to judge how a small repeating pattern behaves across a large surface.
