Cut from natural travertine and mounted on mesh, Travertine Blasted 2x6 & 4x6 is made in our workshop in Denizli rather than bought in. Chip format is 2x6 and 4x6. Chips sit on a straight grid, quiet enough to run the full height of a wall without fighting anything else in the room.

Surface and color. The face of each chip is opened mechanically, with no acid and no chemical wash, so it keeps the texture the stone had in the ground. Overall the sheet reads beige, gray, white and brown. Mineral content changes through the quarry face, which is why one box can sit lighter or darker than the next. Sheets are thinned in production, so they are light enough to go on a wall without a structural allowance.

The stone. Each sheet is set by hand rather than machine-laid, so the joint stays even where a mechanical setter would drift. Each sheet is set by hand rather than machine-laid, so the joint stays even where a mechanical setter would drift.

Where it works. Common applications are bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, powder-room accent walls and exterior façade panels on sheltered elevations. For floor use, check the finish against the traffic the room actually takes.

Setting it. Plan the layout from the visible corner outward so any cut sheet lands where it is least seen, and dry-lay a few sheets first to mix batches. Butter the wall rather than the sheet, keep the mesh dry, and align sheets by eye at the seam so the joint disappears.

What the photographs show. Use the flat sheet image to judge scale and the installed images to judge tone. Stone changes noticeably between a close-up and a wall seen at twelve feet.

Ordering. Sheets are $14.99 each and ship at no charge inside the United States. Production and dispatch times are shown on this page; the full schedule is in our Shipping Policy.
