Viola Calacatta — the rare purple-veined variety of Calacatta marble, distinguished by dramatic plum and burgundy veining cutting through a bright white background. Hand-carved into a soft oval silhouette in our Türkiye atelier, this vessel basin is genuinely one-of-a-kind: no two pieces share the same veining pattern.

The oval profile softens hard-edged modern bathrooms and adds sculptural sophistication to powder rooms. A favorite of US interior designers working with maximalist, art-deco, and high-contrast palettes. Pairs beautifully with antique brass fixtures, deep walnut cabinetry, and Venetian plaster walls.

Care

Seal every 12 months with a penetrating natural-stone sealer. The purple-vein mineral inclusions can be slightly more reactive to acids than the white background — wipe spills promptly. Use pH-neutral stone cleaner. Color and veining variation between pieces is significant and expected.
